Investment Signals Expansion for Nemesis
25th June 2008
A Liverpool based communications provider is undergoing significant expansion with a cash boost from Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF) and private investment which includes capital from some of its staff.
Nemesis Networks Limited, provides an integrated IT, carrier and telephony service to customers throughout UK including schools, multi site solicitors and other office-based businesses that require simplified & cost effective communications solutions.
The company was set up in 2006 by directors Kevin Cheston, Michael Cheston and David Griffths and now employs 15 staff.
Managing director, Kevin Cheston said: “Inward investment from staff is very positive and means that the people who work closest to the business have recognised its strength and potential. We believe that making staff shareholders will really help drive the business forward and enhance the quality of service we already provide to our customers.
Buying the different elements of communications technology from separate providers can result in a poor service. We provide a unified communications system which gives our customers a single point of contact and, we believe, a superior service.
Leading industry heavyweights such as Microsoft and Cisco have now seen what we are trying to achieve and are actively supporting our growth plans.”
Carol Bolland investment manager with MSIF’s Small Firms Fund said: “Nemesis has already built up a solid customer base and are building up a reputation as a premium communications service provider. The management team is strong and driven and we believe the business will do very well.”
Turnover last year reached £1m and it is expected to reach £2.7m next year. The company expects to double its workforce during the next two years.

Keter UK docks in Liverpool with Nemesis Networks
Keter UK selected Nemesis Networks to install the new system in December 2006, after a productive meeting with the firm’s management. Nemesis’ familiarity with a full range of modern telecommunications systems, and its proven track record in working to demanding deadlines, were key factors in Keter UK’s decision.
“Nemesis was fantastic throughout the installation project,” said Ian Morley, Keter UK’s IT manager. “The new technology is easy to use, and, with key features like voicemail, will enable our warehouse staff to communicate with ease. The project was completed in excellent time, and the advice provided by Nemesis consultants on site was extremely valuable.”

Triangle finds right angle with Nemesis Networks’ support
Triangle required a telecommunications provider to supply a scaleable telephone system for employees at its new head office in Southport. The installation project was scheduled to take place while the office was being refurbished and so the installation team had to operate under a tight timetable and often in a noisy and disruptive environment.
Nemesis installed the new technology in less than three days, and Paul Cheston believes their engineers provided a first-rate service throughout the project: “The Nemesis Networks team adapted quickly to the demands of our project, and were able to work around the ongoing refurbishment to provide an extremely quick and efficient service. The scaleability provided by the Avaya solution allows for continuing expansion, and this is vital for us as we continue to upgrade our facility.
